Mr. Danny Wynn Cook, age 58 of Slayden, known too many as “Cookie” died Monday August 19, 2013 at home. Danny’s wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a Memorial Service Sunday September 1, 2013 at 2:30 PM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Montgomery Bell State Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gateway Hospice. Arrangements are by the Taylor Funeral Home.
Born in Marysville, CA, he was the son of Margaret Smith Cook of Slayden and the late Luther Cook. Danny worked as a Sheet Rock & Drywall installer and was the former owner of Toy & Cook Drywall and also worked as a Supervisor for the former Giffin Construction.
Along with his mother he is survived by his brother, Jack Cook and his wife Kate of Nashville; sisters, Pam Bentley and her husband Jimmy of Slayden, Linda Wall and her husband Scott of Charlotte, Donna May and her husband David of Clarksville; several nieces and nephews.
