Mr. David Conroy, age 76 of Slayden, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011. A memorial visitation for Mr. Merrick David Conroy was held Wednesday December 14, 2011 from 1 until 6 P.M. at his home. A native of Pontiac, Michigan he was the son of the late Merrick Conroy and Irma Newton Conroy Erickson. David served as a Sheriff’s Deputy for the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office for several years. Survivors include his five daughters, Terry Conroy of Savannah, GA; Kelly Flynn of Canada; Sharon McCormick of Ramer, AL; Deneen Litz of Charlotte, NC; Dana Thies of State College, PA; two sisters, Sharon Ryeson and Dorothy Martin both of Clarkston, MI; eight grandchildren.
