Delia Gladys Knight Harmon, age 73 of Dickson, died December 14, 2012. A funeral service was held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 1pm at the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial followed in the East Dickson Cemetery. Delia was born May 17, 1939 in Dickson County. She is a Daughter of the late James Springer and Mera Knight. She worked for the Kroger Company for 25 years. She was an active member of the New Hope Baptist Church where she served as the Vice President of the Mother Board. She was in the Eastern Star and worked with the N.A.A.C.P.
She is survived by her Husband of 55yrs., Willie Paul Harmon of Dickson; 3 Children, Tina (Michael) Morton of Victorville, CA, Orlondo (Yvette) Harmon of Dickson, and Darryl Harmon of Dickson; Sister, Sissie Lucille Vaughn of Dickson; Daughter-in-law, Rosetta Harmon of Dickson; Brother-in-law, Robert Harmon of Indianapolis, and Conrad (Rose) Baker of Indianapolis; Sisters-in-law, Patricia (Toy) Jones of Indianapolis and Thersa Woods of Indianapolis; Aunts, Mrs. Georgia Springer of Dickson, Mrs. May (Charles) Feaster of Xenia, Ohio, and Mrs. Eudora Harmon of Dickson; 14 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
