A funeral service will be held on Monday January 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Story officiating. Place of rest will be in the Vanleer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 form 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Doris Jean Caldwell, age 73 of Vanleer, TN died on Thursday, January 16, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vanleer Cemetery Fund.
Mrs. Caldwell was born December 13, 1946 in Dickson County, TN. She was a daughter of the late Allen and Mary Jane Tuberville Reynolds. On June 7, 1968 she joined in marriage to Wallace Jerry Caldwell. She had worked at the Charlotte Junior High School and retired from the food and nutrition department of Horizon Medical Center. She had attended services at the Sylvia Baptist Church and later at the Charlotte First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Caldwell; her siblings, William Reynolds, Allen Reynolds, Dorothy Parker, Lois Reynolds, Vola Reynolds, and Janie Ragan.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Caldwell (Patricia) of Vanleer, TN and Dennis Caldwell of Vanleer, TN; granddaughter, Reba Caldwell; her sister, Molly Reynolds.
