Dorothy Jean Beier, age 79, of Dickson, TN passed away May 11, 2022 at NHC. Her wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held in Columbia, S.C. with extended family. Memorials can be made to Humane Society of Dickson County.
Dorothy was born April 3, 1943 in Pennsylvania to George Krapf and Hazel Gongaware Krapf. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Education, she began to work as an Art Teacher. She loved to paint; especially with acrylic paints, and ceramics. She loved cats and dogs and raised Maltese and showed them for 30 years. She also loved to raise quarter horses and to travel.
Survivors include her son; Steven Brown (Ginny) of South Carolina, her daughters; Lisa Stansfield of Tennessee, Wendy Brown of South Carolina, Sister Peggy Kenzie; grandchildren; Dylan Stansfield of Missouri, Dakota Stansfield of Missouri, Meredith Brown of South Carolina, Alex Brown of Maryland, Philip Brown of South Carolina, Megan Benson of Tennessee, Matthew Baughman of South Carolina and 8 Great-great grandchildren.
