Dorothy Sue Seagraves Tidwell, also known as Dot by family and friends, age 88, of Bon Aqua, TN died peacefully December 16, 2025, at NHC in Dickson with her family by her side.

“Dot” was born in Hickman County and was the daughter of the late Malcolm Ray and Blanch Russell Seagraves owners and operators of the legendary Blue Moon.  She was the widow of the late Tony Tidwell who died in 2022.  She was preceded in death by four daughters, Wanda Thomasson, Sheila Tidwell, Lisa Shepard and Tina Marie Nolen and preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Mangrum and her two sisters Faye Spencer and Mutt Chandler.

Dot was a retired cafeteria cook and worker at East Elementary School and formerly worked at Durango Boot Co. in the repair department for some 17 years.

Dot loved and loved deeply, especially her family. Her family was truly her life.  She loved people, having a good laugh and really enjoyed having fun.  Dot shared a very positive attitude with everyone as she faced her life. She was a woman of great faith and strength to be able to face all the challenges in her life.  Dot was often referred to as the Mayor of North Tidwell Road.  As so many women of her generation she was taught to be a good cook and loved sharing her talents with her family, friends and neighbors.  She was a member of the Baptist church.

She is survived by her two children, Don A. “Bubba” Tidwell (Mona Davis), her daughter, B. Darlene Blade (James), her 10 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 13 great- great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and many longtime friends.
