Funeral services for Mrs. Dottie Jane Alberd Bennett, age 80 of Dickson were held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. David Pulley and Bro. Clark Brown officiating. Place of rest is in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bennett died Tuesday September 2, 2014 at her home. A native of Dickson County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Lane Alberd. She had worked as a Waitress and a Cook for the former High Point, Piccadilly, Townhouse and Broadway Restaurant. She was a member of the Pomona Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Bob Bennett of Dickson; children, William McVoy of Dickson, Jerry Bennett of Portland, Susie Davidson of Dickson; sisters, Nancy Smalley, Patsy Parker and Carolyn Hooper all of Dickson; grandchildren, Susan Morgan, Keith McVoy, Kristen Bennett, Kyle Bennett, Josh Davidson, Caleb Davidson; great grandchildren, Jason Todd, Taylor, Addison, Lauren and Logan.
