Funeral services for Doyle Warren, age 88 of Bon Aqua, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Warren died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his home.
Born in Hickman County, Doyle was a son of the late Thomas “Tommy” and Oma Hudgins Warren. He was a retired plumber. Doyle lived a simple, but colorful life. In his younger days, he worked as a moonshiner and bootlegger. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and spending time on the water. He was also good at hunting ginseng. Doyle loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them whenever and wherever he could. And he also loved riding his lawn mower and watching “Walker, Texas Ranger.” In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Travis Warren; a daughter, Paula Delaney; and by siblings, Elease Potts, Alma Luckett, Katherine Conner, Delmer Warren, and Beatrice Overbey.
Survivors include two daughters, Robyn Warren and Tonya Jenkins, both of Bon Aqua; a sister, Gladys Overbey of Lyles; grandchildren, Mackenzie Gill, Presley Jones, Steven Delaney and Johnathon Jenkins; a great-grandson, Levi Jenkins; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
