Eddie O’Neil Blaylock, better known to most as “Neil”, passed from this life on January 17, 2026, at the age of 78 at Life Care Center in Centerville. Born in Dickson County on November 15, 1947, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Lois Hicks Blaylock.
Neil was married to the love of his life, Wanda “Ann” Wall Blaylock, for over 60 years. He also honorably served his country in the United States Army for over 20 years, where he retired as a Sergeant First Class. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Blaylock was also a long-time member of the Sylvia Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his sister: Darla Davis.
Survivors include his loving wife: Ann Blaylock of Dickson; his children: LeAnn Petty (Tim) of Dickson, Greg Blaylock (Alice) of Charlotte, Lori Suddoth (John) and Richie Blaylock (Erika), both of Dickson; his brother: Tommy Blaylock; and his grandchildren: John Ray Suddoth, Jr. of Dickson, Jacob Ryan Suddoth of Dickson, Noah Blaylock of Florida, Josh Suddoth of Dickson, Ella Blaylock of Dickson, Shelby Mitchell of Clarksville, Thomas Blaylock of Dickson, Gracie Blaylock of Charlotte, and Joseph Suddoth of Dickson.
Mr. Blaylock’s wishes were for cremation. His cremated remains will be laid to rest in the Cumberland Furnace Cemetery with Full Military Honors on a date to be announced.
