Elaine Virgina Tidwell, age 81 of Hickman County, TN died on May 9, 2026 at the Life Care Center of Centerville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bill Watts officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Elaine was born on October 27, 1944 in Hickman County. She was a daughter of the late Elvin and Ida Jane Dedman Tidwell. She spent many years as a factory worker with Henry I. Siegal (H.I.S), Fiesta Grills and Levi’s. She also enjoyed her time working at the candy counter at the former Kuhn’s store located on Main Street in Dickson, TN. Elaine had a great personality, energetic, funny and sweet. She loved to dine out at restaurants, that was her form of entertainment. Elaine was an Elvis fan. She enjoyed collecting Elvis’s memorabilia.
Elaine Tidwell is preceded in death by her siblings, J.W. Tidwell, Gena Tidwell, Jack Tidwell, Elvis Tidwell, Hester DiBruno, Zelmer Tidwell, Lenn Tidwell, and Louise Smashey.
Elaine is survived by her nephew, Kerry Tidwell; nieces, Candy Seaton, Venus Weir (Bob), and Norma Sanders; great nieces and nephews, Nikia Roos, Brock Seaton, Stephen Weir, Lioba Weir, Chris Lowry, Davina Silvanio, Christopher Buonadonna, and Joseph DiBruno; great great niece, Hailey Roach.
