A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Clark officiating. Place of rest will be in the Weems Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Masonic service will be held during the visitation on Thursday, it will begin at 6:00 PM.
Elbert Clydell Ashworth, age 86 of Dickson, TN died at home on Monday, April 4, 2022.
Mr. Ashworth was born April 17, 1935 in Hickman County. He was a son of the late Sam Wilburn Ashworth and Mamie Lee Grimes Ashworth. He was a retired employee of TVA. He was a 32 nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He had received his 50-year pin for membership in the Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Bowen Ashworth; and his daughter, Kathy McGee.
Mr. Ashworth is survived by his daughter, Penny Annesi; his stepchildren, Terri Patterson, Gary Kimbro, and Melissa Kimbro Knight; six grandchildren, Trent Ashworth, Kelsey Annesi, Mary Annesi, David Brewington, Lee Brewington, and Ashley Silva; eleven great grandchildren; as well as many other extended family members.
