Graveside services will be Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 4:30 PM at McElhiney Cemetery with Bro. Thomas Southerland officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday April 19th from 11 AM until 4 PM at Taylor Funeral Home.
Ellin Pauline “Polly” Bishop, age 81 of Dickson, TN passed away Saturday April 16, 2022. Born in Dickson, TN she was the daughter of the late Leamon Deward and Mary Emogene Fielder Manley and was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Bishop; son, Jason Todd Bishop; sisters, Allie Faye Huffman, Bessie Lucille Manley; great granddaughter, Kara Koontz. Polly had worked several different places over the years, some being Red Capp and then as a cook for the former Goodlark Hospital, Underground City and Shoney’s. She was a member of Water Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Gary Bishop (Gwen) of Dickson, TN; daughters, Nancy Jo Armstrong of Dickson, TN, Pam Koontz (Dan) of Cumberland Furnace, TN; sister, May Nicholson of Cumberland Furnace, TN; 6 grandchildren, Christine Combs, Jason Bishop (Ivy), Dakota Bishop (Crystal), Josh Koontz (Sara), Shay Stonebraker; Christa Koontz; 15 great grandchildren, Kevin Koontz, Kayden Koontz, Jaxson Koontz, Clara Koontz, Aaron Stonebraker, Jason Stonebraker, Bralin Coryell, Troy Koontz, Ryan Combs-Collins, Lukas Combs-Collins, Dallas Combs, Nate Combs, Milan Bishop, William Bishop, Kyler Bishop; nephew, Sterling Nicholson; great niece, Cherokee Nicholson.
