A funeral service will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Parsley officiating. Visitation with the family will take place on Monday, from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Ever Rest Cemetery in Pleasant View, TN.
Mr. Ernest Griffin, age 91 of Lawrenceburg, passed from this life on October 23, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL. He was born on April 6, 1933, to the late McKinley and Minnie Allien Oakley Griffin in the Griffintown Community of Cheatham County.
Mr. Griffin was raised on a horse farm amongst a large family. In his younger years, he worked security for WSMR radio for the Grand Ole Opry. He retired after many years of service for Ford Motor Company. He was the type to have never met a stranger. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all his siblings; his wife: Malinda Griffin; his son: Ernest Griffin, Jr.; daughter: Carolyn Anderson; and son: Wayne Rediker.
Survivors include his daughters: Ruby King (Erin) of Hohenwald and Rosalyn Jenkins (Wayne) of Crestwood, KY; his daughter-in-law: Janis Rediker of Centerville; as well as 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
