A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Ester V. Boughton, age 81, of Dickson, passed from this life on May 14, 2023, at Dickson Health and Rehab. She was born on November 7, 1941, in Jay, Maine to the late Joseph and Fay Thomas Ellis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children: Ida Thibodeaux, Esther Daugherty, and Jackie Boughton; and her sisters: Faye, Gertrude, and Georgia.
Survivors include her daughters: Mary Boughton of Dickson, Tarry Booker (Jason) and Wanda Thibodeau, both of Indiana, and Diana Noyes of Maine; her sons: Melvin Boughton of Florida, Ernest Thibodeau of Dickson, Anthony Jones of Maine, and Howard Boughton, Jr. of Dickson; her brothers: Elwin Ellis of Maine and Junior Ellis of Florida; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
