Evelyn Chrystabell Welch Foster Tinsley, age 94 of Pleasant View, Tennessee passed away peacefully on August 11, 2021.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Martin Garton Cemetery in Burns, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Martin Garton Cemetery Care Fund.
She was born January 14, 1927 in Burns, TN; her parents were Ernest Olin Welch and Eva O’Dell Anderson Welch. Evelyn was an avid traveler, flower and vegetable gardener, excellent seamstress, family historian, like to keep up with world news and financial markets and lived life tenaciously. Evelyn attended: White School, Eastside School and Watkins Institute. She lived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Maryland. She was a founding member of Westside Church of Christ in Baltimore and most recently was a member of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ in Ashland City, Tennessee. Evelyn was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Charles Homer Welch, Joe Bryce Welch and James Ernest Welch; and her sisters, Mary Sue Welch, Eva Rebecca Welch Hasty, and Floyce Arden Welch Arrington.
She is survived by her children, James Bennett Foster (Dale) of Landenburg, Pennsylvania, Sharon Dianne Foster Breyfogle (John) of Columbia, Tennessee; and 3 grandchildren, Todd, Troy and Tori Foster; and 3 great grandchildren, Aviva, Elisha, and Emma Foster.
