Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Thomas Southerland will officiate. Place of rest will be in the Rock Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening, April 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday beginning at 12 Noon until time of service. Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Building Fund of the Water Street Church of Christ.
Frances Gayle Williams Adcox, age 82 of Charlotte, TN died peacefully Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at her home.
Gayle was born in Davidson County and was the daughter of the late James Henry (Red) and Emma Frances Sweatt Williams. She was a 1958 graduate of Hume Fogg High School in Nashville. She has been married to Billy Adcox for 64 years. Gayle was a licensed practical nurse with the former Goodlark Hospital. She worked for some 25 years helping share in the joy of helping bring babies in this world. She was a faithful member of the Water Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her precious four- legged companion Patches.
Gayle will always be remembered for her inviting and beautiful smile and her kind and sweet spirit. She was a loving wife, caring mother and grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed cross stitching and going to yard sales.
Survived by her husband, Billy Adcox of Charlotte, TN, her son; James William (Jimbo) Adcox and wife, Diane of Dickson, TN, her two daughters; Debra Gayle Bowker and her husband, Johnny of Charlotte, TN and Frances Dawn Martin and her husband, Tracey of Dickson ,TN, her 11 grandchildren and her 20 great grandchildren, her brother; James Monroe Williams of Nashville, TN, her sister; Mary Lillian Johnson of Dickson,TN.
