Memorial services for Mr. Fred E. ‘Pop’ Neil, age 81 of Burns was conducted Saturday December 31, 2011 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Weller and David Tune officiating. Mr. Neil died Sunday December 25, 2011 at his home in Burns after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Newnan, Georgia, he was the son of the late Andrew John and Lula Camilla Brown Neil. He was founder of The Fred Neil Company of Dickson and a Korean War U.S. Air Force Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marie Neil of Burns, TN; three sons, Marc Neil and wife Melissa of Dickson, TN; Dan Neil and wife Doris of Kingston Springs, TN; Timothy Dru Neil and wife Donna of Kingston Springs, TN; two daughters, Sharon Neil Reed and Chris of Cross Plains, TN; Kimberly Anderson and husband Ron of Fairview, TN; eight grandchildren, Joey Neil; Samantha Neil; Nicole Neil; Evan Neil; Justin Neil; Shae Reed; Drew Reed; Amanda Anderson; one great grandchild, Peyton; several nieces and nephews.
