Graveside services will be Friday October 11, 2019 at 12 PM at Dickson County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Brooks Cochran officiating. Visitation with the family will be Thursday October 10th from 4 to 8 PM at Taylor Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alive Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mr. Gene Austin Overton, age 82 of Dickson, TN died Tuesday October 8, 2019. Born in Dickson County he was the son of the late Daniel Blucher and Elizabeth Lee Austin Overton. Gene worked as an Appliance Technician for 43 years with American Maintenance. He had served in the National Guard and was a member of the Oak Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Daily Overton of Dickson, TN; sons, Monty Gene Overton (Tina) of Columbia, TN, Jefry Todd Overton (Kelly) of Cumberland Furnace, TN; daughter, Kellie Ann Lampley (Dwain) of Fairview, TN; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
