Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Hermitage. Visitation with the family will take place on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Taylor Funeral Home.
Mr. Gene Autry Gardner, age 84 of Nashville, passed from this life on November 29, 2025, at the Barton House in Nashville. He was born in LaRue Co, Kentucky on December 6, 1941, to the late Victor Gardner and Christine Cruse Gardner.
Gene was married for over 50 years to his late wife, Betty Darlene Gardner. He also retired from Kroger after many years of service to the company.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, he was preceded in death by a son: Darrell Gardner; and a brother: Homer Gardner.
Survivors include his brother: JD Gardner; and his special friend: Beverly Crunk.
