Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Edgar Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place on Tuesday, March 19, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Geneva Odom Fortner, age 82, of Dickson, passed from this life on March 16, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 1, 1941, in Hickman County to the late Alex Andrew Odom and Louise Stringer Odom.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Clayton Junior Fortner; her infant daughters: Debra Annette Fortner and Sandra Diane Fortner; her sisters: Dorothy Jane Baker and Linda Joyce Wilkerson; her grandchild: Emma Fuller; and great grandchild: Emma Mae Keele.
Survivors include her children: Clayton Thomas Fortner (Kristin) of Dickson, Pamela Elaine Smith of Columbia, Sheryl Ann Tidwell of Lyles, and Susan Renee Hargrove (David) of Dickson; 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
