Funeral services for George Junior Bryant, age 77 of Charlotte, will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Tim Pulley officiating. Interment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time. Mr. Bryant passed Monday, October 19th at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Ashland City.
Born in Stewart County, George was the son of the late Edward and Lorraine Spicer Bryant. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for State Industries (now A. O. Smith Corp.). He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bucksnort, TN. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Rose Hooper Bryant; a son, Christopher Bryant; siblings, Tom Bryant, Floyd Bryant, John Bryant, Margaret Claxton, Juanita Parrott, Mary Jane Pulley, Betty Spicer, and Maybelle Allen.
Survivors include two sons, Charlie Bryant (Amanda), of Charlotte and Bobby Bryant (Tammy) of Ashland City; a daughter, Tonia Ritchie (William) of Charlotte; a brother, Benny Bryant (Marti) of Carlisle, TN; a sister, Polly Lane (“Rabbit”), of Stewart Co.; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Dennis Cook.
