Mrs. Gloria Bellar, age 76 of Dickson, TN died on February 7, 2026.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Wright officiating.  Place of rest will be in the Taylor Town Cemetery.  The visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 12 Noon until the time of service.

Gloria was born on October 6, 1949 in White Bluff, TN.  She was a daughter of the late Henry “Leo” Potts and the late Willadean Hall Potts.  She was a hard worker with many talents.  She had worked in Banking, as a beautician, and a volunteer for Horizon Medical Center.  Gloria was also a retired executive secretary for the State of Tennessee.  She had a consistent tendency to be happy and joyful.  Gloria was naturally funny and quick witted.  She used humor to cope with everyday life.  She loved her family so much, her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Felts; her husband, Carlton Bellar; 2 brothers, Arthur Potts and his wife, Debbie, and Warner Ray Potts.

Mrs. Bellar is survived by 2 daughters, Mechele Rene Felts, and Kimberley LeAnn Bowman; brother, Burnice Potts (Rosie); sister-in-law, Ruth Potts; 2 grandchildren, Cheyenne Bowman and Matthew Bowman; great granddaughter, Aphrodite Rose Carroll; several nieces and nephews including, Ryan, Ray and Jerry Potts, Lana Miller, and Laura Pack.

  3. I’m so very sorry to hear of her passing. She definitely was one of a kind with her quick wit and contagious laughter. She will truly be missed.

  4. Gloria and I share the name Gloria. She and I always thought that was funny and every time we saw each other we always added “Gloria” to our greeting each other. She was one of the sweetest people I know. She always had the sweetest smile. My condolences to all of you. She will definitely be missed.
