Funeral services will be Sunday April 24, 2016 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with his grandson Nathaniel Edmondson officiating. Place of rest will be in the Adams-Nesbitt Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday April 23rd from 4 to 8 PM and on Sunday from 12 PM noon until time of service.
Mr. Hart Adams Balthrop, age 83 of Dickson died Friday April 22, 2016. Born in Dickson County, he was the son of the late Loys and Lucille Adams Balthrop and was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Lee Balthrop and his sister, Jane Averitte. Hart was a retired Mechanic for DuPont and also was a farmer. He was a member of the Edgewood United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy Balthrop McWhirter (Richard) of Clarksville; grandchildren, Nathaniel Edmondson, Matt McWhirter, Josh McWhirter, Taylor McWhirter; great granddaughter, Maddy McWhirter; nieces and nephew, Rachel Weaver (Earl) of Vanleer, Teresa Miller (Dale) of Dickson, Doug Averitte of Vanleer; several great nieces and nephews.
