A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Eiras officiating. Burial will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville. Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
For those desiring, memorial contributions are suggested to the Parker’s Creek Baptist Church Youth Ministry or the American Heart Association.
Helen Newberry Walker, age 74 of Burns, TN, passed from this life on October 23, 2025, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. She was born on June 20, 1951, in Beaufort, SC, to the late JT and Evelyn Joyce Krattinger Newberry.
Helen worked in the insurance industry for many years. She was also a proud member of the Parker’s Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Eugene Walker; and her siblings: John Newberry and Ann Labbe.
Survivors include her daughter: Kristie Diane Nelson (Shawn) of Norfolk, VA; her brother: Jim Newberry; her sister: Kathy Laird (Bruce); her grandchildren: Toni Hunter (Brennen) of Dickson, Alyssa Beach (Terry) of Portsmouth, VA, Chelsea Ruffin of Gloucester, VA, and Elena Ruffin of Nashua, NH; and her great-grandchildren: Kali Ruffin, Blayze Boughton, Maddalyn Beach, Ryleigh Beach, and Jacob Boughton.
