Funeral services will be Sunday October 6, 2024 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Clark Brown officiating. Place of rest will be in the Garrison Cemetery in Williamson County. Visitation with the family will be Sunday October 6th from 12 PM until time of service. Those desiring memorials may be made to the Sylvia Baptist Church.

Henry Clifford “Jack” Hagewood, age 96 of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away Sunday September 29, 2024 at Centennial Medical Center. Jack was born, November 13, 1927 to the late Welch and Ethel Groves Hagewood. Jack was a kind, loving, hard working man. He was willing to help anyone he could. Never met a stranger and still at the age of 96, had a strong mind and memory of almost everything. One of his greatest joys was his mules. He loved working with them, and often times helping others plow their gardens and tobacco.

Jack worked for Eubank Paving. In his later years he worked for Tim Weatherspoon on Tim’s farm in Stayton, TN doing whatever Tim needed to be done. Jack was member of the Sylvia Baptist Church for 55 years at the time of his death. He was the oldest member there. He and Nellie enjoyed their church. They were members of the Golden Hearts Group for Senior Adults. Jack was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathy Lorene Hagewood and Virginia Gayle Hagewood; six brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Nellie Moore Sullivan Hagewood of Cumberland Furnace, TN; daughter, Barbara Adams (Darryl) of Dickson, TN; step-son, Tommy Sullivan of Fairview, TN; step-daughters, Janie Harris (Steve) of Dickson, TN, Carolyn Gasca of Franklin, TN, Donna Skelton (Greg) of Fairview, TN; 2 grandsons, Greg Adams (Jamie), Darrin Adams (Jessica); 3 great grandchildren, Mackenzie Adams, Mason Adams (Sydney), Mary Morgan Adams; 4 step-grandchildren, Wendy Lipinski (Shawn), Bobby Harris (Rachel), Hunter Skelton (Chelsea), Kayla Kennedy; 10 step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
