J.W., age 72, of White Bluff, TN died October 12, 2021 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center after a short stay.
He was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee son of the late Joe and Elsie Hall Burgess. He was a logging business most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith. J. W. was a honest hard working man and was a man of his word.
Survivors include his two sons; Jimmy Burgess and William (Billy) Burgess, his three brothers; Jerry Burgess, William Burgess and Joseph Burgess, numerous step children and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.
Graveside funeral services will be on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from the Gillin Cemetery in White Bluff, TN. Viewing will be at the cemetery during the services. Don Carter will officiate.
