Graveside services will be Wednesday May 3, 2023 at 11 AM at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Steven Angus officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday May 2, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM. For those desiring, memorials may be made to Redden Cemetery or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
James Edward Petty, age 89 of Dickson, TN passed away Wednesday April 26, 2023. Born in Hickman County he was the son of the late James Austin and Mattie Lorene Petty and was preceded in death by his son, Michael Petty; his brother, Donnie Petty; his sisters, Imogene Anderson, Barbara Dunn and Kathleen Dunn. James was a Carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Petty (Ann) of Dickson, TN, Ronnie Petty (Carmen) of Houston, TX, Denny Petty (Rheatta) of Kingston Springs, TN; brother, Bobby Petty (Virginia) of Dickson, TN; sister, Mary Ruth Donegan of Dickson, TN; 5 grandchildren, Catherine Jones (Dan), Carter Petty, Michael Petty, Evan Petty, Aaron Petty; 2 great grandchildren, Palmer & Hudson Jones; several nieces and nephews.
