Funeral services for James Gary “Jim Bob” Shaver will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Howard Wingo officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until service time. Masonic services, open to the public, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday conducted by Tennessee City Lodge #548. For those desiring, memorials may be made to Shriners’ Hospitals for Children. Jim Bob died unexpectedly Monday, June 17th at Horizon Medical Center.
Born in Dickson, Jim Bob was the son of the late Virgil and Mildred Campbell Shaver. He was a 1973 graduate of Dickson County High School. He was in Quality Control at Nemak Industries and was a member of Tennessee City Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his son, Nathaniel Shaver, Dickson; his sister, Sharon Maples, Dickson; nephew, Jay Maples (Sandra Hamilton), Murfreesboro; and great nephew, Levon Maples; other relatives and friends.
