Graveside services for Janie Evelyn Pewitt Craft, age 81 of Fairview, will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview, with Pastor Bruce Buttrey officiating. Mrs. Craft died Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at The Meadows. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Born in Franklin, Tennessee, Mrs. Craft was the daughter of the late James Clark Pewitt and Dora Alice Anglin Pewitt. She retired from France Manufacturing Company and was a member of Liberty Lincoln Church of Christ in Fairview. She enjoyed collecting key chains and had quite a large collection of them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Buddy” Craft; her brothers, Delmer Pewitt, Reece Pewitt, L. C. Pewitt, and Raleigh Pewitt; her sisters, Gertrude Pewitt Craft, Bessie Lee Pewitt, Inez Pewitt Stinson, and Corene Pewitt Mangrum.
She is survived by two brothers, Leland Pewitt, of Fairview, and Douglas Pewitt, of Primm Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
