Mr. Jasper Odell McEwen, age 74 died May 4, 2013. Funeral services for Mr. Jasper McEwen were conducted Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. James Carrington officiating. Burial was held at Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Born in Cheatham County he was the son of the late Jasper Odell (Bo) and Mary Estelle Reed McEwen. He spent most of his life working in road construction. He formerly was foreman with APAC Paving, Sessions Paving, and R.C. Derryberry Paving. He served his county for 16 years as Dickson County Road Superintendent. He was a 1958 Graduate of Dickson High School, Member of the Dickson Masonic Lodge # 468, a Shriner, and a Scottish Rite Mason, and member of the VFW. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include His Wife of 46 years, Diane McEwen of Dickson, TN; Daughter, Sandy Spann of Dickson, TN; Granddaughter, Maria Spann of Dickson; Brother, Mr. Bud McEwen of Dickson, TN; Sisters, Mary England and her husband, Billy of Dickson, TN, and Patricia Wade and her husband, C. W. of Dickson, TN.
