Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Jeff Lankford will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 4PM until 8PM and on Tuesday from 9AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Fielder Cemetery.

Jimmie Wayne Fielder, age 78, of Dickson, TN, passed away on February 1, 2026, at the VA Hospital.

Jimmie was born on May 18, 1947, in Dickson, TN to the late Andrew Jackson Fielder and Sibyel Wills Fielder.

Jimmie was a proud combat veteran of the United States Army; having served in the 25th Infantry in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Purple Heart. Jimmie worked in flooring in Dickson County for many years and was known for being one of the best around.

Jimmie loved to BBQ and cook. He always enjoyed feeding everyone and to be able to play the host. He also enjoyed riding horses. Jimmie had a special way of taking care of everyone else. He had the gift of hospitality and an enormous personality to match. He would often bring people into his home to live with him and his wife, Rose. He was a mentor, a fisher of men, family man and beloved child of God that will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Dunnagan Fielder, his son, James Fielder (Charlotte) and their children, Charley Fielder, Xavier Evans (Mercedes), Aaliyah Evans, Kamal Evans and Kiera Evans, great-granddaughter, Emerie; son, Christopher Fielder; son Steve Jaguden (Lizz) and their children, Amanda, Tori, Tyler, and Drew; daughter, Pam Peters and her children, Bryan, Shannon, and Frankie; daughter, Cara Ann Schram-Watts (Chuck) and their children, Christopher (Shayla), Brendan, Jaelynn, and Jozef, great-grandchildren, Logan and Laikyn-Rae; and his sister, Norma Jean Ducker (Glenn).

In addition, Jimmie is survived by several very special nieces, nephews and loved ones.
