Mr. John Arnold Parker, age 63 of Charlotte, died Friday, July 13, 2012. Funeral services for Mr. John Arnold Parker were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16 2012 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Artest Waynick officiating. A native of Dickson County, Mr. Parker was the son of the late Grady and Lizzie Shelton Parker. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in maintenance for a petroleum equipment company. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Raines Parker, Charlotte; one son, Brandon Brown, Charlotte; one daughter, Ashley Brown, Charlotte; one brother, Carl Parker, Garden City, MI; four sisters, Dorothy Flynn, Canton, MI, Willadean Hood, Ferndale, MI, Margaret Cates, Wichita, KS, and Katherine Hayes, White Bluff; several nieces and nephews.
