John Fabian, a strong loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away March 1, 2026 surrounded by family in his Dickson, TN home. John was born in Youngstown, OH on January 26, 1949. He was a Veteran, having served his Country as a Sgt. in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
John was married for over 50 years to his loving wife, Deborah Fabian who was always there for him. He had wonderful parents and many siblings that he cherished dearly. His parents, John and Mary Fabian along with sister, Rosemary Wolfinger preceded John in death. Other siblings are Mike Fabian, Susan Tomko, David Fabian, Barbie Fabian and Karen Rusu. John had two daughters, Julie Ann Smith and Lisa Sattur with son-in-law James Sattur. Grandchildren include William Smith III, Alexandria Lampley, Nora Smith, Jimmy Sattur, Lilian Smith, and Anna Sattur. Great-grandchildren are William Smith IV, Blake Lampley, Ember Smith, Alivia Lampley, Elise Smith, Hazel Tate, and our baby angel Hudson Tate. John was truly an amazing man who was extremely strong his whole life. We will forever remember the happy times, the happy greetings and the constant offering of food and goodies in the house. He was not your typical man. He liked things the way he liked them and would always say what he was thinking in the time. It was one of the things his family loved and hated most about him but wouldn’t change it for the world. In the words of his love “Ditto.” He was a fighter until the end. They don’t make them like that anymore. There will be no formal service, but the family will be hosting a private celebration to honor his life.
