Funeral services will be Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 12 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. James Parham officiating. Place of rest will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday March 21st from 4 to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service. Those desiring memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery or Gideons International.
John Lewis Tidwell, age 74 of Bon Aqua, TN passed away Friday March 17, 2023. Born in Bon Aqua, TN he was the son of the late Rev. John E. and Martha Luther Tidwell. John had worked for the State of Tennessee and was an U. S. Airforce veteran. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother, Bobby N. Tidwell (Lucinda) of Bon Aqua, TN; sister, Gayla Fisher (James) of Bon Aqua, TN; aunts, Hazel Marie Buttrey, Jewel Daughtery, Elizabeth Savely, Magaline Fowlkes, Sarah Brake, Dolly Tidwell, Norma Luther; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Murphree (Casey), Anthony Fisher (Jalana), John De Fisher (Lisa), Jonathan Fisher (Christy); step nieces and nephews, Jeff Kemp, Tammy Benefield (Marty), Wendy Strickland (Ty); great nieces and nephews, Aryn, Jalyn, Briana, Luke, Jake, Bryson, Sadi Marie, Anna Mae; step great nieces and nephews, Andrew, Sam, Jack, Luci, Millie Jo, Noelle; several cousins.
