Mrs. Jonny Buntin Simpson, age 92 of Bon Aqua died January 15, 2013. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1pm at the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Mrs. Simpson was born December 20, 1920 in McAlester, OK. She was a Daughter of the late Lola Buntin and Benjamin Bailey. She attended the Southeastern State College in Durant, OK. She worked as a secretary for the Metro Board of Education in Nashville, TN for 24 years. She was the last founding member of the East Hickman united Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Lawrence Simpson, one Brother and Six Sisters. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her 2 Sons, Lawrence ‘Larry’ Simpson Jr. and his Wife, Mary of Birmingham, AL, John Simpson and his Wife, Teresa of Bon Aqua; Daughter, Betty ‘Betsy’ Stiles and her Husband, Bill of Cumby, TX; Six Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
