Joshua Tucker Benz, age 5 of Burns died Saturday September 24, 2011 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Funeral services for Joshua Benz were held Saturday October 1, 2011 at 11 AM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Chatham officiating. Place of rest was in the Union Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Bill Benz, Jr. and Carol Michelle Benz of Burns; brother, Lucas Christian Benz of Burns; grandparents, Noble Grady Phillips and Billie June Corbitt Phillips of Burns, Bill Louis Benz, Sr. and Sheila Gale Tucker Benz of Thompsons Station; great grandfather and his wife, Carl Gale and Ella Rae Cobb Tucker of Kansas City, KS; aunts and uncles, Karen Phillips and husband, Jay of Dickson, April Massey and her husband, Jeff of Oak Ridge, Cherie Greene and her husband, Chris of Burns, Christina Rhodes and her husband, Joe of Hopkinsville, KY; eight cousins. For those desiring, memorials may be made to ‘Team Josh Benz’ for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk an event that brings help and hope to people battling blood cancers.
