Graveside funeral services will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Parker-Fowlkes Cemetery. Wayne Epley will officiate. Place of rest will be in the Parker-Fowlkes Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project or to the Dickson County Humane Society.
Mrs. Thomas, age 79, of Dickson, TN died July 19, 2020 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center.
She was born in Dickson County, daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Crowe Waynick. She was the widow of the late John Edward “Ed” Thomas who preceded her in death in 2003 and also preceded in death by a daughter Dawn Street.
Joyce was a homemaker, mother and former beautician. In her early years she enjoyed traveling, camping and in later years she loved her certain television shows and reading. Joyce was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Reeder and her husband, Don of Dickson, TN, her grandchildren, Daniel Beaird, Derrick Beaird, Jeb Reeder, Michael Street, Jennifer Street, Erica Street and Sarah Street, and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her four- legged dog, Chico and her pet cat Samantha.
