Kenneth M. “Kenny” Batey, age 55 of Antioch, formerly of Dickson, TN died on September 26, 2020.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home with Father Raines officiating. Place of rest will be in the Weems Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home.
Kenny was born January 22, 1965 in Dickson, TN. He was raised in Dickson and in his youthful years he worked and cut tobacco around the Charlotte, TN area. Kenny loved to fish; he once caught a 14 lb. bass using a blackberry for bait. He was a small engine mechanic and an avid animal lover. For many years he worked for Volunteer Tile, Nashville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen Sue Brown Byers and Billy R. Turman.
Kenny is survived by his sister, Lisa Hayes; his brother, Jeffery Dean Craft; his nephew, Jon Cody Hayes; great nephew, Jon Dakota Hayes.
