Mr. Larry Robert Shoemaker, age 78 of Dickson, TN formerly of Pennsylvania died on May 19, 2021.
Larry was born August 8, 1942 in Mt. Bethel, PA. He was a son of the late Warren R. and Mildred Lohman Shoemaker. Larry was a retired fruit grower, having owned and operated orchards in Pennsylvania. During his career, he owned and farmed the second largest orchard in Pennsylvania. He worked hard to provide for his family and had a humorous personality.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Arlene Counterman Shoemaker; and a brother, Marvin Shoemaker.
Larry is survived by his sons, Larry R. Shoemaker Jr., and Melvin J. Shoemaker; his daughters, Tami L. Jefferson (Jeff), and Melissa A. Zimmerman (Robert); 2 brothers, Glenn Shoemaker, and Paul Shoemaker; his sister, Lois Predmore; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren with one more on the way.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Williams Cemetery in White Bluff, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
