Funeral service for Mrs. Lillus Juanita Brown Kurtz Redmond, age 90 of Dickson, TN was conducted Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 1 pm from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Cullom officiating. Place of rest is in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Redmond, retired machine operator for the former Schrader’s Automotive and retired clerk with the former Shell Par Mart in Dickson, died August 5, 2014 at NHC of Dickson after a brief illness. Born in Dickson County, she was the daughter of the later Arthur Dalton and Texie Pearl Garton Brown. She was a member of the St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Detroit, Michigan. She was the widow of the late Norman Howard Kurtz and Vernon Redmond. Also preceded in death by a son, Randall Kurtz, Her Brothers, Malcolm, A.D., Maury, Newell and Leon Brown, and her Sisters, Irene Powers and Vivian Brown.
Survivors include Her Son, Leon Brown Kurtz of Dickson, TN, Her Grandsons, Jason Randall Kurtz of Gallatin, TN and Geddy Leon Kurtz of Dickson, TN.
