Louis was born to the late Honolulu and “Clay” Wright in Erin, TN. Louis was a Pipefitter and Welder for Local 572 that worked at TVA. He was married to the late Sharron Wright. Louis loved working on old cars. That was a pastime that he and his son Brandon shared. They restored numerous classic cars under his supervision.  They restored at 1965 GTO, 1972 Chevelle, 1968 and 1969 C10 pickup trucks, and a 1957 Chevrolet. He had a special love for each of them. Louis loved working for the Local and spending time with his coworkers there. He also loved his family, and his granddaughter Jenna was the light of his life. He was a devoted member of Sylvia Baptist Church. He attended there for 40 plus years and served in roles from teaching Sunday School and being a Deacon. He loved his church family a lot.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 11 siblings.

His survivors are his son; Brandon Wright (Mandy) of Dickson, granddaughter; Jenna Wright (Spencer) of Dickson, sister; Ann Welker (Otho) of Clarksville, brothers-in-law; Jackie Clark and G.E. Clark both of Erin.

  2. Louis and Sharon were special people in our lives while serving in Charlotte. We were blessed to renew our acquaintance with Louis just a few years ago when we returned briefly to Middle TN. We also loved being involved with Brandon while involved with the Sylvia Baptist youth group during those days.
Rest well Louis in the comfort of our Savior! We shall meet again! Psalm 27

  3. Louis always greeted you with a genuine smile, a stout friendly handshake, and a (seldom short) story. I always looked forward to seeing Louis at car events. He will be missed.
Our condolences to the Wright and Clark families.

  4. I’m saddened to hear of his passing and didn’t know about Sharon’s passing. Linda and I have been gone from Sylvia for over 31 years. I can still remember their family from that time. Good folks. I still use a part of his testimony to this day when the occasion arises. We’re all getting older and closer to heaven by the day. The Great reunion above awaits.
    With Love,
    Pastor Jeff and Linda Hicks
