A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Vivian Canty giving the eulogy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery.
Maggie “Sophie” Cole, age 94, passed from this life on August 30, 2018 in Erin, TN. Sophie was born June 9, 1924 in Dickson, TN. She was united in holy matrimony to Malachi Cole. Mrs. Cole moved from Dickson to Buffalo, NY before making her home in Louisville, KY. There she worked as a private sitter and caregiver. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Canaan Baptist Church in Louisville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George “Bill” Nelson, and Jim Nelson; her sisters, Gretchen Austin and Martha Hall.
Mrs. Cole is survived by her son, Arnet Sanders Jr. and his wife, Janice of Cleveland, OH; her brothers, William Stacy and his wife, Wylodean of Dickson, TN, Mac Nelson of Dickson, TN; brother-in-law, John Hall; 5 grandchildren, Lashaun Sanders, Rhonda Ann Sanders, Drussel Woodard, Sandra Woodard, Dewite Woodard; also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews.
