Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday evening, December 12, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Chad Fussell and Dennis Gregory will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Mrs. Choate, age 74, of Dickson, TN died peacefully Sunday, December 9, 2018, at her home.
She was born in Dickson County, daughter of the late Leon and Alma Gertie May Lane Hooper. Margaret was a graduate of Dickson County High School. Previously, she was an employee of the former Goodlark Hospital in Dickson where she worked in billing and insurance. She was the wife of Roger O’Neil Choate; they were married for 52 years.
She is best described as a fun loving lady who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She adored her grandchildren and was the “best” grandmother. Her hobbies included shopping, reading a good book, and watching game shows especially Family Feud. She was an extremely kind lady but wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. A person always knew where they stood with her. One thing that her children learned very quickly was, “No candy for breakfast.” Besides her family, one being that meant so much to her was Doc, her four-legged companion. Roger, her husband, would have cereal for breakfast, but Doc would have biscuits and gravy.
