Mrs. Maria Teresa Choate, age 86 of Dickson died Sunday September 11, 2016. Maria’s wishes were to be cremated and no services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Dickson County.
Born in Vieques, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Leopoldo and Antonio Oliver Cintron and was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Shelton Choate and her grandchildren, Misty Dawn Choate and Sydney Lynn Choate. She had worked at the H I S Factory until it closed and in later years she worked in the Dickson Co. School System. She was a member of the Edgewood United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Randall Choate (Ann) of Hurricane Mills, TN, Phillip Choate of Long Beach, CA, Noel W. Choate (Susan) of Dickson, TN, John Brian Choate (Kary) of Murfreesboro; daughter, Teresa Choate Crow of Burns; grandchildren, Wyatt Choate, Kalyn Choate and Caroline Choate; sisters, Vicky Compton of Madisonville, KY, Ines Loyola of Puerto Rico.
