Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Avriett Jeffrey, age 85 of Nashville, TN formerly of Dickson County were conducted Wednesday morning, April 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Blue officiating. Place of rest is in the Dickson Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Jeffrey, passed away peacefully at home March 30,2014 after a brief illness. Born in Dickson County she was the daughter of the late Burn and Gertruce Wright Avriett. She was a retired cosmetic sales lady. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Grady Jeffrey and her second husband, Hugh T. Hudson. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be remembered for her fun loving spirit, great sense of humor and devotion to family, friends and church. She was by faith a Methodist and non denominational.
Survivors include Her Daughter, Donna Woodward and her husband, Dave ; Grandson, Troy Butner and his wife, Carmen ; Granddaughter, Emily Newton and her husband, Ken ; S ister , Alda Mai McClurkan ; Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
