Marlena Annesse Spann, age 62 of Charlotte, TN passed away peacefully in her home the morning of April 29, 2020. Marlena was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who doted on her loved ones. Marlena was the heart of her family-devoted, supportive, and caring. She was a strong woman and an inspiration to all who loved her.
Marlena was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Schaffer Day and her father, James Day. She is survived by her husband, Craig Spann; her children, Diana Norfleet, Elijah Spann (Brandi), Cassie Wright (Scott), and Matthew Spann (Ashley); her grandchildren, Gracelyn, Marlee, Lyla, Virginia, and Nora.
As per her wishes, there will be no public services for Marlena as she wanted her life celebrated-not mourned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests copies of any photos you have of her be shared with them and donations be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
