Memorial service for Martha Lynn “Marty” Morrison, age 70 of Dickson was held Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Cumberland Furnace, TN with Rev. Mary Catharine Nelson officiating.
Martha Lyn “Marty” Morrison died Thursday July 31, 2014 at the Alive Hospice Residence. Born in Peoria, IL she was the daughter of the late Robert Pierce and Marion Wilton Whitmore and was preceded in death by her brother, Robin Whitmore. Marty worked as a Therapist for ONSITE Workshops in Cumberland Furnace, TN. Marty had a BA in Education from the University of Iowa, a MA in Counseling from the University of Illinois and was a Certified Addiction Counselor. She was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Jamie Haley & her husband Heath of Birmingham, AL, Betsy Heneghan of Cabo, Mexico; brother, Scott Whitmore of Dunlap, IL; sister, Mariana Williams of Winter Park, FL; several nieces and nephews.
