Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 11AM at the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Donnie Craig will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning at Taylor Funeral Home from 10AM-10:45AM. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital
Mary Evelyn Puckett, age 97, of Dickson, TN, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, after a short stay in Horizon Medical Center.
Mary was born on April 23, 1926, in Hollow Rock, TN to the late Everett L. McMackins and Sally A. McMackins. She had worked for the Baptist Sunday School Board in clerical, but she spent most of her life taking care of her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and could not have been a better mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Like so many from her wonderful generation, she was a great cook and loved her family greatly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Puckett Jr.
She is survived by her two sons: Rick Puckett (Brenda) of Dickson, TN, Jeff Puckett (Kristin) of Franklin, TN, 10 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
