Michael Anthony Greer, Sr., age 73 of Centerville, passed away on February 22, 2026, at Alive Hospice Residence of Nashville. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dickson Union Cemetery.
Mike was born on November 11, 1952, in Wichita Falls, TX, to the late Farrell and Frances Fracchia Greer. He served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He was a huge New York Yankees fan and loved reading books written by James Patterson. He was also known for working as a cook at Waffle House. Mr. Greer was a faithful member of the St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Greer; and two siblings: Sharon Mangrum and Steve Greer.
Survivors include his sons: Michael Greer, Jr. of Nashville, Matt Greer (Courtney) of Dickson, and James Greer (Sarah) of Charlotte; his daughters: Ann-Marie Greer of White Bluff and Elizabeth Westerman (Shawn) of Charlotte; his brother: David Greer (Lisa) of Knoxville; his sisters: Marcia Castner (Todd) and Donna Nicholson both of Hudson, Florida; as well as 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

I am so sorry for your loss. He fought a long hard battle. Mike was always so kind to us.
I only knew Mike for a short time. I remember the night he was moving into the Tulipwood apts. as I was going inside. We talked for a long time and became instant friends. He was always a gentleman and I will never forget him. Rest in peace my dear friend.
