Private graveside services for Michael Leroy “Mike” Martin, age 60 of Burns, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020 from the Tidwell Cemetery off Eli Road in Bon Aqua. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation or gathering at Taylor Funeral Home. Mike died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Horizon Medical Center following an extended illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or charity of one’s choice.
Born January 11, 1960, Mike was the son of the late Roy and Jean Martin. He was a graduate of Dickson County High School and worked in several jobs in and around Dickson. He worked for the former Quebeccor Printing Company, the Coca Cola Distributing Co., and stocked the bread displays for Bunny Bread, Wonder Bread, and Sara Lee at several local grocers including Kroger and Walmart. Most recently he worked in grounds maintenance and in several other capacities for Montgomery Bell State Park and for Montgomery Bell Park Golf Course. He has been an avid bowler and he really enjoyed golf.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Tidwell Martin, Burns; a sister, Vicki Beasley (Troy), a nephew, Ty Beasley, and his beloved terrier, Molly.
